Zacatecas Tacos + Tequila in Albuquerque

A very inviting place! Well designed, friendly and very helpful service. And of course, the food was quite good, the menu has many intriguing options. My friend had the mussels and I had the chicken mole tacos, we both enjoyed what we had. I look forward to exploring other choices in future visits.

Very nice restaurant, with very nice staff 👌. Helpful when trying to pick out your meal or when trying to decide what to drink after a long days of work in hot new mexico. The food was great,. Menu items are on the pricier side but all affordable for a night out and wanting a nice dinner and drinks. Highly recommend the creamy chicken tacos.

Great place for what I’d call fancy tacos and drinks. Fish tacos are amazing! Margaritas are really well crafted. The prickly pear one was excellent, as is the house margarita. They have a large selection of tequila and bourbon, with suggested or custom flights. The staff are always friendly and attentive. It’s a little bit spendy for tacos, but they are well worth it.

Chef Rodney outdoes himself with his special dinner creations. The regular menu is outstanding with flavors from around the world. Staff is creative with drink options and have a excellent variety of tequilas and bourbons that will fit any budget.

Great authentic Mexican food and awesome selection of tequilas. House margueritas are awesome and only $6.

Bourbon bar is amazing. Had the creamy chicken and Cod Tacos. Not sure what is in that sauce but it is addictive! Service is top notch!

My husband and I love eating at Zacatecas. He's a Tequila fan, and their extensive offerings allow him to experiment. I have the sangria which is the best in town. Everything about the food is outstanding. We especially enjoy all the tacos. I certainly recommend Zacatecas to anyone looking for a fun and inexpensive evening out.

Had brunch on a Sunday here. Not too busy. Tacos were pretty good, although the habanero sauce made them good, the fish was pretty bland in my opinion. Also their guacamole and chips was pretty delicious.

Love the tacos and the drink selections. One of my favorite taco places in Nob Hill.

Went to go have dinner with my lady upon presenting and older style gift card their server made me aware that they were no longer using those cards. She explained to me that they would look at the information on the card and give me a new card with the credit that I previously had on the old card there was no issue about the bill being paid. The server also stated that the manager would give me a call with the updated amount. The process was simple and the server was knowledgeable. Thank you to everyone there the service was pleasant and good food. .

Love there food and the margaritas can't be beat! Plus as a bonus Benicio Del Toro sat next to my wife and on date night😁

It was good my server was very careful with my meal because I had some allergies, but after a bit she disappeared and everytime I was trying to ask for my bill the staff kept walking passed me. Other then that it was good

In ABQ for the Before I Die Festival and stopped here for dinner alone.Food was really good and tasty. Ate at the bar and the bartender/server was friendly, welcoming, and accomodating.Finally, had the bourbon and sour drink that was really, really good. Definitely worth a return trip when I'm back in ABQ.

The food was okay although there are other places nearby that serve better tacos for a lower price. Brianna, our server, I know was busy, but had left us waiting quite a while for our chips and salsa and food as well as left us with empty glasses of water for longer than should be expected. Especially when she visited the table directly next to us 3 times before acknowledging that we had not been serviced. She then went to the back and returned to the dining area to help another nearby table without bringing our water. Generally I'm accepting and don't know what kind of day she was having but the service today was very very poor. If I had to base me coming back on the service, let's just say it'd be very unlikely.

This was the first place I ate in Albuquerque. The tacos we're great! The drinks were good as well and they have an extensive tequila list.

The sauces are really good and the chips and salsa was awesome. But the chicken was bland, No salt or pepper wad used just to flavor while cooking. Not good and didn't finish other tacos. Same blandness on the potato tacos. I wish they had sides. The fish and the other shrimp tacos were good. Looked like they seasoned before grilling. Overall... I'll just stick with Taco Cabana because of flavor and price.

Fun casual but hip atmosphere. Excellent and interesting selection of tequilas, margaritas and other tequila-based cocktails as well as beer and wine. Nice selection of tacos and other goodies. Highly recommended.

What a pleasant place. And the service is just terrific. Friendly happy wait staff. bringing savory tacos! And dont forget the guacamole. Go early because this place fills up fast!

They have a great selection of Gluten Free items! The food was good and the prices were decent. Service stopped immediately once the bill was paid and tip given, but otherwise a great experience.

Zacatecas is a great place to come and relax with friends! Lots of tequila and bourbon and their tacos are pretty good too. The wait staff is awesome and very friendly. This is a great place to start off a Friday night or to have a snack and drink or two half way through a Friday night. Good food some of it could use a little spicing up however. Thats the only reason for 4 stars other then that this is a great place through and through!

They have Brunch on Sundays! I think it was hilarious that when we called to ask, the person on the phone didn't know they had mimosas. And then when we get there and ordered drinks, they had to check (again) to see if they had mimosas. Do people just not order them enough? But the food was good and beautifully plated. The chips & two salsas can be plated better so they don't make a mess all over the table, But overall pretty good and satisfying.

Great atmosphere! Tacos are chalk full of yummy ingredients! Spent $58 for 2 before tip (only had one michalada) so good date night.

You can never go wrong with a house margarita from here. Their carne asada tacos are a must have. Excellent service every time.

We came here to try the ceviche. When we got here, they didn’t have that on the menu. I was on a seafood crave and tried the shrimp cocktail instead. It was okay. It was somewhat spicy and was missing some salt, we were surprised they didn’t have salt shakers on the table. It was served in a small mason jar and was tiny. I expected a little more for the price. My sister had the tacos and they were alright. I’ll keep looking for a good marisco place nearby in the meantime. They did have good authentic music playing though. I think I enjoyed that more than the food unfortunately.

1st time eating here and I have to say I will be back. The margaritas are so worth the price. Strong and delicious! The tacos were bursting with flavor. I had 2 shrimp and 2 cod and loved them. My husband had the special which was pork belly and he enjoyed every last bite! If you have room for a slice of key lime pie...you will not regret it. Our server Amhad was excellent! Rodney the chief is so talented. Come check this place out you will love it!

Solid spot. Margaritas were excellent. No syrupy sour mix. Straightforward, good ingredients with a nice selection. Food was very good. Chips especially. None of the dishes we had were the best we'd ever had but certainly no complaints. Service was excellent! Great place to go with friends.

Delicious mezcal and tequila coupled with great service

Great food. Pretty reasonably priced, especially if you go during happy hour (couple bucks off drinks and cheap oysters). We've been several times and each time the service has been great. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the tequila drinks and the kitchen is very accommodating. Definitely worth a visit if you're a margarita fan.

Very good food and drinks

Sub-par but expensive Mexican restaurant experience. If you're looking to have a filling dinner experience, continue to go look for something else, as this place served up the smallest margaritas I have ever seen, and their meal portions are ridiculous for what they charge. You're better off going to a chain place like Qdoba or Chipoltle to get more bang for your buck.

Shrimp tacos were the best. Nice atmosphere. Ask for natural lemonade but with less or no sugar.

Great food, great selection of tequila and bourbon. The tacos are great, price is a little up there but it is really good food. Chips and salsa is pretty good too. I am sure there is usually a long wait as this place seems very popular. When I was there I waited about 20 minutes for a table for 5 people. Not too bad, this place was great.

Zacatecas is one of my favorite restaurants in ABQ. The tacos are delicious and they have one of the best classic margaritas in town. The menu changes just regularly enough to keep it interesting and the salsa and Chile vary in spiciness from visit to visit. Great place in a great location. Prices are good and service is fast and friendly. Oh yeah, and there's a ton of tequila and a full bar!

Clean place. Fine staff. Menu a bit limited, but some very unique & enjoyable flavors. It was very good, though felt the entree was still being dialed in & was a couple bucks high. I'd probably go again.

Nice variety of tacos balancing convention and experimentation. Riffs on rellenos, ribs, and other larger plates are available but we never can say no to tacos. Impressive tequila offerings and, more surprisingly, boubons to explore guided by friendly and informed bartenders.

One of our favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. We love their tacos and the selection of entrees. They also have great drink options with some very good margaritas and bourbon based drinks.
